The headquarters of the National Administration for Property Operations [Direction Nationale d'Interventions Domaniales], or DNID, have been located since September, 2004, in Saint-Maurice in the department of the Val de Marne (94). This office, which is part of the National Taxation Administration [Direction Générale des Impôts], includes 13 locations throughout France and 350 agents who work in 3 principal areas of activity: asset management (more than 6,000 estates handled), sales of personal property (more than 50,000 lots sold each year) and real estate (nearly 500 properties sold) and estate appraisal assignments (5,000 appraisals in Ile de France alone).
